BBC Talent Ticket Roadshow & MakoEducation
Earlier this year MakoEducation worked with BBC Outreach on their Talent Ticket Roadshow.
What is the Talent Ticket Roadshow?
BBC Talent Ticket is a unique partnership between BBC Bristol and the University of the West of England, which encourages young people to consider media careers by offering work experience and other learning opportunities to secondary school students. As part of the project, BBC Outreach & Corporate Responsibility delivered the Talent Ticket Roadshow across ten schools in Bristol. 1,500 Year nine pupils took part in workshops that included, animation, green screen, film production, foley, screen makeup, set design and music.
What MakoEducation Did.
MakoEducation exclusively delivered Foley, Green Screen and Film Production workshops at all ten schools over the two weeks, working with over 600 students. The project was hugely rewarding and a great experience. We are very proud to have been part of this BBC programme and would like to thank BBC Outreach for inviting us to take part.
MakoEducation worked with BBC Outreach for two weeks, delivering 30 workshops to some of the city’s most challenging schools. Andy, Anthony and Sean helped nearly 600 kids get hands on practical experience with the latest equipment in foley, green screen and film production.
MakoEducation were professional, punctual and adaptable, which was what we needed in this fast moving project. I would recommend them to other schools or charities who work with young people.
